Cornish language has seen a steady increase in interest in recent years despite having been in previous decline.
Rod Lyon, former Grand Bard of Cornwall talked of the importance of both preserving and disseminating the Cornish language and the role it has to pay in Cornish heritage.
Cornish language teacher Clive Baker then taught an introductory lesson in Cornish to a group of participants who learned how to introduce themselves, where they lived and what they did as well as learning about the translation of various place names.
