We believe that everyone is capable of creative expression; that artists can work with a broad spectrum of individuals without compromising artistically or aesthetically; that contemporary artforms can be stimulating, challenging, and engaging for all. Read more about what we say about the arts.
We are creating a map which will feature information about Devon and its writers, old and new. Your answers to the survey questions will help ensure no one is missed out. Words as prose, poem, fiction, non-fiction; historic, fanciful, humorous, frightening –– we want to map the full range of known and hidden talent Devon can offer.
Thank you to everyone who filled out our recent survey. We will be drawing winners from all those who entered the prize draw in the next couple of weeks. You will hear from us soon if you are a winner!

Drake's Trail, a series of walking and cycling spurs in West Devon, was recently listed in Lonely Planet Magazine as one of ten best national "trips for a memorable Spring". The Guardian (Saturday, May 9) also explained how fantastic the trails are, but noted that "it's the podcasts that bring the area to life." And this is one family's blog from the trailhead...
We were commissioned by West Devon Borough Council to create these 22 podcasts, and worked with artist Martin Prothero and students from Tavistock College.
AHA is now listed in The Ashden Directory which is a lively and interesting website centring on Arts & Environment. Although we don't maintain a Links page on this site (for reasons of practicability) we will from time to time mention sites of interest here.
We'd like to say thank you to all our funders. They are acknowledged on the appropriate project pages, and here.
We have been funded for a three-year programme of work by Arts Council England, and we thank them for their continuing support of our work.
